Perched on a rocky spur overlooking the Creuse Valley, the fortress of Crozant (Creuse) impresses with the majesty of its ruins. Once one of the most formidable defensive complexes of the Middle Ages, it controlled a strategic point where the Creuse and Sédelle rivers meet. Today, its breached towers, windswept walls, and breathtaking panoramas offer a journey back in time. Bathed in a light that inspired many painters of the Crozant school, the fortress blends history, nature, and poetry in a single setting.
