The Val de Courre and the Val d'Enfer offer breathtaking landscapes in the heart of the Sancy Massif . Between steep cliffs, rocky corridors, and vast slopes, these valleys exude a wild and powerful atmosphere. Volcanic activity has sculpted spectacular landforms, giving the area a raw and majestic character, conducive to contemplation and escape.
In winter, conditions there are sometimes very harsh. The Sancy massif is often swept by wind, snow, and ice. As the first barrier to storms coming from the ocean, conditions on the Sancy peaks are sometimes similar to those found at an altitude of 3,000 meters in the Alps.
